WW2 German Wehrmacht Drum Major Swallows Nest Shoulder Boards Bullion Red Wool

Pair of original WW2 German Wehrmacht bandleader “swallows nest” shoulderboards. These boards display 8 alternating vertical red wool & silver bullion stripes, with bottom silver bullion fringe attached. This style was worn only by the bandleader (drum major), who was tasked with responsibility for conducting, commanding, and maintaining discipline. Shoulderboards were easily removable from service tunics after performances. From a private collection. Mint condition; no stains, holes, defects, or other damage.
