Original WW2 U.S. M1 helmet liner by Westinghouse in medium green (USMC). As reported, “some USMC marine detachments serving in the Pacific Theatre repainted their olive drab (khaki) liners with a distinctive MC Green” which was a type of Kelly green according to personal accounts from veterans. Why? Ask a marine. The canvas webbing is in impeccable condition with no ripping or tearing away from the inside liner. It lacks the leather sweat band. The Westinghouse “W” marking can clearly be seen in the center dome. The resin impregnated molded plastic liner is free from cracking or chipping.
