Rare WW1 pattern russet leather saddlebags with brass buckles & fittings. Inside flap reads “JV Crocker” (most likely the trooper’s name). Leather in good condition but for 2 small missing buckles & one missing circular ring. This type of saddlebag was commonly used by US cavalry up to start of WW2. Reportedly, a U.S. Army reconnaissance patrol used horses in Italy years later during WW2.
