Rare German cavalry horse dust goggles typically worn with gas mask by the HORSE, not rider. New old stock. Unissued goggles with large, clear (not yellowed), convex celluloid lenses. Greenish-grey adjustable strap. Lenses are encased in padded leather. Blue line (left eye); red line (right eye). Directions for use ("genau beachten") included. Germany anticipated use of poison gas (as in WW1) and took steps to protect their mounts' eyes. These goggles are the only pair known to exist; extremely scarce.
