Full Set of 8 Rare Vintage (Pre War) Dinner Knives Produced by WMF Cutlery, Germany. Maker is Wurttembergische Metall Warenfabrik, one of the oldest (c. 1853) cutlery firms in Germany; specifically contracted to produce serving pieces during German WW2 era especially for Elite school residing at Wewelsburg Castle and Carinhall Hunting Lodge. Top of each handle bears patent #21 or 30. Knives are clearly manufacturer-marked and measure 10" long; each blade is still quite sharp, with no signs of sharpening. All blades are straight with no distortion, and feel comfortable in the hand.
